This is one of my favorite burger places ever. I've tried a bunch of their burgers and they've all been good. I love the black bean burger and the burger topped with cucumber, spinach and goat cheese. They have great fries too. They also serve beer which is cool and they have some awesome shakes like oreo and butterfinger. If you like hamburgers I'd definitely try this place. The only thing I had here that I didn't like were the fried pickles because they were way too salty but other than that everything has been great.

Don't go to smashburger for the burgers. They're dry and tasteless. If you want a burger, go to five guys down the street or even zinburger if you're feeling fancy and have loads of cash. The fries are where it's at. All the fries on the menu are fantastic. Crispy and fresh. Smash fries are rosemary and olive oil covered= perfection. They're shoestring and easy to eat on the go, too. The milkshakes are made with hagendaz ice cream so they're flavorful but not the best milkshake I've ever had. They also sell alcohol for dine in patrons. It's a burger joint. Don't think of it more than that.

This is a great burger that's fresh and tasty. The fries and salads are good and the staff is friendly. The place is clean and ample parking makes this a good choice for all ages. I've never had the shakes but I hear they're terrific! The prices are good too.

I was previously disappointed in a different location. This time I had the New Yorker with grilled onions, cheese, baby spinach peppercorn garlic aioli. This was really good. Also had the Oreo milkshake. Loved it but it's time to start watching my calories, so no more of this for awhile. Ate some of the fam's regular fries and haystack onions, both awesome. Can't understand a previous Yelper complaining of oily, water soaked burgers. I'll repeat this experience anytime (after I drop 20+ lbs).

Yeah, I'm a fan. Spicy veggie black bean "burger" and sweet potato fries are excellent. So nice to have a veggie burger option (Five Guys, are you listening?). And they have Honest Tea. Yay! A very nice gentleman - perhaps the manager? - took the time to explain the menu to us. He was helpful and personable. Everyone else was friendly as well. Great service. You can order one of their menu creations or create your own burger. This place is immaculate, and I quickly saw why. The staff is constantly cleaning. Everyone seemed to be working their tails off. Very pleased with everything about this place. I'll be returning soon!

This was by far the worst burger I have ever eaten. It was so oily and wet that I had to peel the bottom bun off the wrapper as the rest of the burger slid apart. It tasted like it had been dipped in water. I was asked to describe the "Smash Sauce". Based on that horrid burger, I would describe it as a mixture of oil and water. The only reason I considered giving it two stars is because the fries were pretty good. Overall, I would not recommend going here. It's namesake, the smash burger, is just watery slop. Save a few dollars and go down the street to five guys!!

I'm a big fan of smashburger joints. This place is nice because I've never seen it overly busy. I love their smash fries. It's essentially regular fries with rosemary infused oil drizzled over it. The sweet potato fries are good too. As for the burger, it's a little greasy. But still tasty.

You know I'm not big on 5 stars, and this could change as time passes and this place becomes comfortable and loses their hype.....BUT, for now, this is the BEST burger in Rockland County!!! I mean, by far, the best burger!!! The staff is polite and friendly. They clean up after you which is great and they serve you wherever you choose to sit. They have awesome shakes!!! Sweet potato fries are great. They serve beer. I can't say enough about how great an atmosphere it truly is. Now back to the food. We had a Smash chicken with portobello truffle and Swiss, which was phenomenal. We also had the Classic Smash, this burger is so good. Again, the BEST burger in Rockland County, by far!!!!!!

When I walk into smash burger I feel a lot of pretense. Maybe I'm too old for the atmosphere, but I will give credit that they are changing the way America looks at a hamburger in its Preparation. Quite frankly I think the fries suck, though. This is a place that is trying too hard to be fancy and for that reason I prefer five guys.

I almost used up all of the napkins on my table it was so greasy. And some ugly burger it was! I guess I would look pretty bad if I was smashed up too! I was at least looking forward to the fries b'c of the previous good reviews - forgetaboutit. Very greasy too, and not so tasty. On a positive note - the staff was very friendly and helpful, the place was very clean and prices were very, very reasonable. But there are so many better choices in the area.

The absolute pits- Sorry but I got alot of raves from friends and family and I found this place and food just plain lousy. The fries are cheap and minimal and not tasty and the burger fell over the small bun and it was cooked poorly -greasy- looked bad- a bad ugly looking burger...the bacon was small and should have been bacon bits for Gods sake. My first bite resulted in the thing spitting grease at me, The taste was nothing at all. The tiny bun with the large but thin and flat patty was a poor fit and a pain to et as the burger flopped over the bottom bun. Had the smash fries and could have smashed those on the floor with their strange taste. Serious disappointment and nobody was in the place. We tried it to test against 5 Guys and my advice ? DONT WASTE your time- $27 bucks later we felt robbed, I have never seen such thin fries, The final result of this visit was regretting we didnt go to to McDonalds for their $ menu which was better than what we got here, They have nerve to charge a $ for each piece of extra bacon when on their bacon cheeseburger they give you nothing but 2 thin strips barely noticeable and surely not tasted. Horrible experience. Never to return again and would be surprised this place lasts long. Havent been this disappointed in a long time. 5 Guys Burgers and Fries kills this place- there should be no choice!

I would like to declare my undying love for smashburger. They are on point. The service is great. After you make an order you pick your seat and they bring you your meal. I've been here about 3 times thus far and it's been perfect every single time. Their fries are amazing, their burgers are delectable...they have milkshakes!!! I went to Five Guys and they have the same set up as smash or pretty similar and I never went back there. It's a nice bonus that the staff cleans up for you but I can honestly do it myself....but they insist. Anyway I hope they keep it up and never fall off after their "newness" dies down.

Wow. Really?? I'm not getting what most of you are putting down. I really ain't. WTF? PROS: Clean. Great service. Fun bubbly environment. Nobody dies. Much. CONS: The most disgusting greasy butter juicy flood of nasty thin ruined beef that ever drowned in nasty nastiness. It's blanched boiled butter mediocrity, thin, flavorless, and greasy. Plus it's greasy. French Fries use the exact same nasty process of greasy butter nastiness, only there's rosemary. But greasy nasty rosemary. I cannot FATHOM how any sane person thinks this a good burger. Granted, I'm an obese meat freak with delusions of arterial mediocrity, and I LOVE real bubbly fat sizzle sizzle... but this stuff just plain sucks. I honestly don't get it. If there was wasabi and/or sex involved... MAYBE. There isn't. And there isn't. I'm giving two stars for energy the effort the experience. Go to Five Guys instead, and eat an entire stick of butter later if you need full gastrointestinal terror effect. Really? Really?? I think fried pork skin is a major food group, and still i rate these burgers a negative 4 on a 10 scale. I've never been more out of sync with the average Yelper...

Had a spinach, cucumber and goat cheese burger with smash fries and a chocolate Oreo milkshake. The burger was good. For a place that prides themselves on using fresh ingredients, especially the beef, it's a good sign that the beef patty isn't in a perfect packed circle! There's rosemary, olive oil and garlic on the fries so it smells really good. It's also really oily, but I don't eat Smashburger very often, so i think it's okay. The chocolate Oreo milkshake was alright. It could be made thicker. They probably blended it too long so it got kinda watery. Took one star off for that! The service is good! The workers are friendly and nice and the place is clean and neat.

Well here's the thing. I love burgers. Bun and patty burgers. These burgers are tasty but not the best burgers I have had. Especially in the area where there aren't many burger spots. But hey, I'm not a food expert. So I ordered the truffle burger today and it did fulfill my craving for a burger but one thing really displeased me. When they brought the burger to the table, there was an odor coming from it that resembled the stench of gas. Like gas at a gas station gas. It kind of threw my stomach into a whirlwind, but I'm a fatty at heart and still ate it like the good boy that knows there are starving children in third world countries would. I am overall happy with my meal here. They do serve beer which is pretty cool, so naturally I had a 3pm beer like any sane person would right?? Overall experience is a "B" but a "B+" for having that pretty girl behind the counter! I hope my girlfriend doesn't read that last part....

I have very high standards when it comes to burgers and have yet to find anything that comes even remotely close to Corner Bistro, but this was pretty good. We ordered a New Yorker (for me) and a Truffle mushroom Swiss. The service was quick, but then again it was empty because it was just starting to snow (northeaster 2014!) The New Yorker burger was fairly good, just a little oily for my liking. It was well done with a decent size patty. It was good, just not a memorable burger, however I did finish the other half at midnight and despite being cold did taste ok so it gets points for that. I don't know if I would try another burger again as I didn't have a "wow" moment, but would try just the fries an another occasion.

My wife and I went for the first time today and the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. I had the avocado club burger while my wife had the spicy baja chicken sandwich. We shared a smashfries and a ice tea and milkshake. All delicious. Meat wasn't too dry. I haven't tried Zinburgers yet, but my wife had a zinburger last week and to my surprise she enjoyed the avocado club more than the zinburger. How about that? I was surprised because the zinburger was more expensive. But I guess you never know lol. Also we only had one hour bc my wife was on her dinner break and we were in and out of SB in 30 minutes. Will definitely return!

First time at a smash burger and it was pretty good. I would compare it to Five guys and The Counter just with thin burgers. The smash fries were excellent and something I would get again. I asked for a fried egg on my burger and was hoping it would be a little runny but it was cooled well. Overall pretty good food and good service. It's now on my burger list.

Have eaten here twice, and had the large New Yorker burger both times--why change horses when you've got a thoroughbred? The burger is generously sized, extremely flavorful, and while your fingers will end up being licked by you--hey, it's a burger, for crying out loud--it's easily the best one around. Additionally, the sweet potato fries are simply magnificent. This place is impeccably clean, and both the management and the staff have the very assured air that comes from serving top-notch groceries cooked in a top-notch way, and presented in a setting that is thoroughly spotless. 5 stars (and as many napkin later), and I can't wait to return.

The location is not the best, if it gets busy I can see a problem with parking. Will for sure go back to try more menu items though.

Hubby and I went and had burgers, Smash fries, and shakes (Fyi, never order that much food). The burgers were pretty good, but they only cook them through, and I like mine rare. They have 2 sizes, and the smaller one is plenty. We shared the Smash fries, which were pretty good if you like rosemary, albeit a bit greasy. The cookies & cream/oreo shake is thick and pretty good, but it's a bad idea to get it if you're eating a burger too, unless you want to feel sick afterwards. It's a step up from typical chain fast food, and I'd go back. It's not the best burger I ever had, but for a casual meal, it was pretty decent. The service was pretty friendly and efficient, but the servers who brought our burgers took the number off the table, so we had to flag down the servers with our fries and shakes. We went shortly after they opened, so perhaps they worked out the kinks by now.

I was excited to try a new burger chain when it opened in Nanuet. I gotta say its just a-ok. My family and a few friends each ordered a different burger and no one was overly impressed. They are fancy and have items such as truffle oil and avocados but still managed to taste bland. The fries were much better than the burgers. It was a cool place to check out but for the price and lack of taste I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

This place is great. I love their burgers and sandwiches. They have a good amount of burger to choose from. Their sides are also good as well especially the truffle fries and sweet potato fries. Every time i go, i always get one of their shakes. They give you the cup with the shake along with the cup that they mixed everything in. So you get a cup and a half servings which is pretty good. Once you order, the max time you wait is probably 5 minutes. The service is quick and on point when it comes to finding the people's orders. Whats good about this place is that every time you get your receipt after ordering, they conduct a survey and all you have to do is to complete it, write down the code they give you and bring it the next visit to smashburger. You hand them the receipt along with the code and you get a free side with it. Saves you 3 or 4 bucks every time. Overall, i like this place, and probably any time location, service is great, you can always find a seat to sit and eat.

I think fried pork skin is a major food group, and still i rate these burgers a negative 4 on a 10 scale. I've never been more out of sync with the average Yelper...

I've been going here since the opening in 2013. The food has always been great and cooked to perfection. I usually get a plain burger with cheese but it's still great none the less. They have a lot of options. They definitely get my 5 stars

Smash Burger is where moisture and tender meat goes to die and fry. The burgers were dry and the chicken was ok at best. Great service and milkshakes!

Had a spinach, cucumber and goat cheese burger with smash fries and a chocolate Oreo milkshake. The burger was good. For a place that prides themselves on using fresh ingredients, especially the beef, it's a good sign that the beef patty isn't in a perfect packed circle! There's rosemary, olive oil and garlic on the fries so it smells really good. It's also really oily, but I don't eat Smashburger very often, so i think it's okay. The chocolate Oreo milkshake was alright. It could be made thicker. They probably blended it too long so it got kinda watery. Took one star off for that! The service is good! The workers are friendly and nice and the place is clean and neat.

I got the original smash burger and we had ordered fries around. It tasted good but it was just really oily for some reason for both the burger and the fries. Not something I really want.

Well here's the thing. I love burgers. Bun and patty burgers. These burgers are tasty but not the best burgers I have had. Especially in the area where there aren't many burger spots. But hey, I'm not a food expert. So I ordered the truffle burger today and it did fulfill my craving for a burger but one thing really displeased me. When they brought the burger to the table, there was an odor coming from it that resembled the stench of gas. Like gas at a gas station gas. It kind of threw my stomach into a whirlwind, but I'm a fatty at heart and still ate it like the good boy that knows there are starving children in third world countries would. I am overall happy with my meal here. They do serve beer which is pretty cool, so naturally I had a 3pm beer like any sane person would right?? Overall experience is a "B" but a "B+" for having that pretty girl behind the counter! I hope my girlfriend doesn't read that last part....

I have very high standards when it comes to burgers and have yet to find anything that comes even remotely close to Corner Bistro, but this was pretty good. We ordered a New Yorker (for me) and a Truffle mushroom Swiss. The service was quick, but then again it was empty because it was just starting to snow (northeaster 2014!) The New Yorker burger was fairly good, just a little oily for my liking. It was well done with a decent size patty. It was good, just not a memorable burger, however I did finish the other half at midnight and despite being cold did taste ok so it gets points for that. I don't know if I would try another burger again as I didn't have a "wow" moment, but would try just the fries an another occasion.

My wife and I went for the first time today and the service was excellent and the food was pretty good. I had the avocado club burger while my wife had the spicy baja chicken sandwich. We shared a smashfries and a ice tea and milkshake. All delicious. Meat wasn't too dry. I haven't tried Zinburgers yet, but my wife had a zinburger last week and to my surprise she enjoyed the avocado club more than the zinburger. How about that? I was surprised because the zinburger was more expensive. But I guess you never know lol. Also we only had one hour bc my wife was on her dinner break and we were in and out of SB in 30 minutes. Will definitely return!

First time at a smash burger and it was pretty good. I would compare it to Five guys and The Counter just with thin burgers. The smash fries were excellent and something I would get again. I asked for a fried egg on my burger and was hoping it would be a little runny but it was cooled well. Overall pretty good food and good service. It's now on my burger list.

Have eaten here twice, and had the large New Yorker burger both times--why change horses when you've got a thoroughbred? The burger is generously sized, extremely flavorful, and while your fingers will end up being licked by you--hey, it's a burger, for crying out loud--it's easily the best one around. Additionally, the sweet potato fries are simply magnificent. This place is impeccably clean, and both the management and the staff have the very assured air that comes from serving top-notch groceries cooked in a top-notch way, and presented in a setting that is thoroughly spotless. 5 stars (and as many napkin later), and I can't wait to return.

Went there recently and have to say that the burgers are very good. Had the New Yorker, the onion rings and the fries. Portions were good and they serve Beer!

First time ever to eat at Smashburger. I had the burger with Swiss cheese and mushrooms and the smash fries. Absolutely yum!!! Also had the vanilla malt shake. Perfect combo!!! Much better than Five Guys. Not as greasy. I'll be back!!

Burgers were tasty but not innovative great for build your own style and some standard classic toppings. Lines were long but the place was amazingly clean including the bathroom. The location is not the best, if it gets busy I can see a problem with parking. Will for sure go back to try more menu items though.

Hubby and I went and had burgers, Smash fries, and shakes (Fyi, never order that much food). The burgers were pretty good, but they only cook them through, and I like mine rare. They have 2 sizes, and the smaller one is plenty. We shared the Smash fries, which were pretty good if you like rosemary, albeit a bit greasy. The cookies & cream/oreo shake is thick and pretty good, but it's a bad idea to get it if you're eating a burger too, unless you want to feel sick afterwards. It's a step up from typical chain fast food, and I'd go back. It's not the best burger I ever had, but for a casual meal, it was pretty decent. The service was pretty friendly and efficient, but the servers who brought our burgers took the number off the table, so we had to flag down the servers with our fries and shakes. We went shortly after they opened, so perhaps they worked out the kinks by now.

I was excited to try a new burger chain when it opened in Nanuet. I gotta say its just a-ok. My family and a few friends each ordered a different burger and no one was overly impressed. They are fancy and have items such as truffle oil and avocados but still managed to taste bland. The fries were much better than the burgers. It was a cool place to check out but for the price and lack of taste I don't see myself returning anytime soon.

This place is great. I love their burgers and sandwiches. They have a good amount of burger to choose from. Their sides are also good as well especially the truffle fries and sweet potato fries. Every time i go, i always get one of their shakes. They give you the cup with the shake along with the cup that they mixed everything in. So you get a cup and a half servings which is pretty good. Once you order, the max time you wait is probably 5 minutes. The service is quick and on point when it comes to finding the people's orders. Whats good about this place is that every time you get your receipt after ordering, they conduct a survey and all you have to do is to complete it, write down the code they give you and bring it the next visit to smashburger. You hand them the receipt along with the code and you get a free side with it. Saves you 3 or 4 bucks every time. Overall, i like this place, and probably any time location, service is great, you can always find a seat to sit and eat.
